The IKEA Playlist Kit for Primates consists of IKEA style instructions to how to build a guard tower and a prison cell as well as an orange playlist of the songs played to prisoners at several extraterrit0rial prison camps including that at Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Each kit also contains three vinyl LP records. All six items are contained in a handsome foil stamped archival box. The boxed edition measures 12 inches x 12 inches x 1.5 inches (31 x 31 x 4 cm). When unfolded the three prints in the edition measure 48 inches x 24 inches (122 x 61 cm; 36 inches x 24 inches ( 92 x 61 cm); and 24 inches x 24 inches (61 x61 cm) respectively. The project is also known as Guard Tower Plans, Prison Cell Plans, and the Songs of Guantanamo Bay.
This is the final part of a series of several works about animals at war. This series includes the following books: Bird Radio (published by Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther Konig, Koln, 2007); The Flora and Fauna Information Service, (published by the ICA, London, 2008); and Two Boiler Suits and a Playlist (published by YYZ, Toronto, 2010). These three books and an audio recording was published as a boxed set by Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther Konig, Koln in 2011.
