Bird Radio and the Eames Chair Lounge
Bird Radio and the Eames Chair Lounge (2002-2011) and Bird Radio for Afghanistan (2010) consist of a set of jerry-rigged bird calls, a video, a radio transmitter, a microphone, a series of drawings, blueprints, photographs and a 52 page guide book published by Walther Konig in Cologne and KW in Berlin.
Bird Radio transmits an FM signal within a one kilometre radius of the transmitter. It was installed as the garden project at the KW in Berlin in 2007 and 2008. It is installed permanently at the MacKenzie Art Gallery in Regina, Canada.
